The object and purpose of the club shall be to promote the owning, training and exhibiting of the GSD, according to the rules and regulations of the AKC; to promote a genuine interest in the GSD, as a breed and to encourage their welfare and training, and to educate the public about responsible ownership and to promote educational, recreational, and social events concerning the GSD, to hold conformation shows, obedience, herding and agility trials and tracking tests, to collect and distribute among the membership information on subjects such as training, breeding, conditioning, judging, and similar topics, to hold meetings where programs on topics of interest to members may be given and discussed, and where business of the club may be transacted; to encourage the development of their natural high qualities; and to lease, own, purchase, hold and maintain real and other property of any kind and all kinds in the State of California to facilitate the accomplishments of these ends.
