Tom worked with the Dept. of Family & Children's Services in Santa Clara County, California where he met his loving wife of 30 years, Shirley Briggs-O'Brien who is also in Social Work.

Tom was a Professor at Schools of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and California State University at Chico.

Tom was a published author of a book titled Child Welfare And The Legal System.

He also leaves a son Steve, and two daughters, Tonya & Kristin and their children.

     We miss Tom's sweet spirit....and treasure the time we knew him.
